I found this company:, they seem to carry a vast collection of DVDs for sale with a very familiar set of films, including "This is Prelinger Archives", is there any reason to believe that their DVDs are not culled from the same MPG2s and MPG4s freely available here?

This company went out of business in October 2011. They made their money selling shoddy transfers of public domain movies and marketing them as "remasters." I made the mistake of buying one of their crummy products and did some research on them afterwards. One reviewer noticed the "TCM" logo on one of their movies, so some of their "remasters" were nothing more than bootleg copies made from TV broadcasts.
